What is CGPA?
The CGPA is the average of Grade Points obtained exam. CGPA full form is Cumulative Grade Point Average, it is a new trend of marking which has been adopted by all universities and now they marking the result in CGPA system.
To convert CGPA system marking to percentage is very easy but the result comes is approximate, it is acceptable by all universities, examination boards, and Government authorities.
Procedure to convert CGPA to Percentage!
1. Convert CGPA to Percentage
CGPA * 9.5
To covert CGPA into Percentage, you need to multiply CPGA marks with 9.5
Here 9.5 is a fixed standard no which doesn’t change, just multiply CPGA marks of your result with 9.5 ( CGPA marks *9.5)
To calculate the percentage on a subject-wise basis, apply the same formula. Multiply the grade point secured in that particular subject, by 9.5

Percentage / 9.5
To covert Percentage into CGPA you need to divide percentage marks by 9.5

3. Convert Grade to CGPA:
To covert Grades to CGPA yourself you have to use these steps.
(i) For the purpose of calculating the CGPA, add the grade points scored by you in each of the subjects.
(ii) Divide the sum arrived at in step 1, by the number of subjects.
This will get you the final CGPA.
How to convert CBSE 10th result from CGPA to percentage format –
1. CGPA to Percentage:
CGPA * 9.5
To calculate the percentage on a subject-wise basis, apply the same formula. Multiply the grade point secured in that particular subject, by 9.5
2. Calculate CGPA by Grades:
Although the CGPA is mentioned in the result, you can also calculate it yourself using these steps.
(i) For the purpose of calculating the CGPA, add the grade points secured by you in each of the five subjects.
(ii) Divide the sum arrived at in step 1, by 5.
This will get you the final CGPA.
